Mission and Vision
The establishment of national laboratories was initiated by NSC to constitute the large-scale experimental facility which might not be able to operated and maintained by a single university. By consolidating the national resources, the national laboratory was established with the mission to construct, operate, and maintain the large-scale R&D facility or platform in support of the academic researches and foster the necessary manpower in various advanced fields focused by the nation. With these designated goals in mind, NARL’s main missions include:

In addition, NARL will also promote the integration of existing laboratory resources in support of academic researches encompassing various fields, as well as the vertical integration of nation’s technology development system by performing the applied researches to bridge the fundamental research and product development. As an ultimate goal, NARL intends to develop itself into a research institution with international renown.
